- MY PERSONAL PREFERENCES
- When I began to shave, I didn’t even think about an electric shaver, I tried wet shaving with a blade but I decided it wasn’t for me. I briefly flirted with electric shavers with foils. But when the foil eventually got damaged and scratched me I abandoned them.
- Since then I have always used rotary electric shavers. Because Philips was the Market Leader, I used their products for years. Eventually, the company became complacent, so I checked the opposition.
- Remington has an excellent electric shaver, including a pop-up trimmer, for half the price of Philips. Additionally, the blades seemed not to lose their edges, as the Philips’ ones did. So for me, it was a “Cake or Death” choice.
- THE SHAVER ITSELF
- The Remington XR1430 HyperFlex Aqua Men’s Electric Shaver is about the middle of their range and offers excellent value for money.
